Under-15 Féile Finalists do the Parish Proud

It was an exciting day of camogie for those present and for those keeping an eye from afar.

The team began the day with a draw in the group stages with Craughwell, 1-06 Emeralds, 0-06 Craughwell. A fantastic game of camogie by all accounts.

The team won the next two games topping their group, beating both Toomevara and Clarecastle. They progressed to a semi-final against Blarneyand bearing them by a point, 0-04 to 0-03.

That saw the Emeralds into a final against a team they had played earlier in the day, Craughwell. The girls played well, with the game level at half time, 0-03 to 1-00. Unfortunately it was not to be the Emeralds day in the end and Craughwell pulled away from them, winning eventually 2-04 to 0-03.

The club later posted on their page sentiments everyone would agree with.

“After an amazing day in Cahir where we all witnessed some fantastic games of camogie that saw us go all the way to the All Ireland Final. We can look back and say as a club how very proud we are of each and everyone of those girls. They gave it their all in every game coming through to top their group to set up a final with Craughwell of Galway.

The result might not have gone our way but they left everything on the field of play. They done themselves their parish and their county proud. To reach a Féile final is a great achievement. Well done to all the panel and mentors. They gave us a great day out. 💚🤍💚🤍
